The creator economy has long been defined by hyper-consumption and aspirational lifestyle marketing. However, the emergence of the "de-influencing" trend—where digital creators actively instruct their audiences on what *not* to buy, critically reviewing overhyped products and advocating for anti-consumption—represents a significant communicative rupture in social media marketing. This study investigates the behavioral drivers and psychological appeal of de-influencing, evaluating whether it constitutes a genuine ideological shift toward sustainability or merely a sophisticated evolution of authenticity performance. Through a content analysis of 1,000 highly engaged de-influencing videos on TikTok and YouTube, paired with consumer trust surveys (N=850), the research deconstructs the mechanics of negative persuasion. The findings reveal that audiences exhibit deep "recommendation fatigue," viewing traditional influencer endorsements with profound skepticism and associating them with predatory consumerism. De-influencing successfully capitalizes on this cynicism; creators who engaged in harsh, critical takedowns of viral products experienced massive, rapid spikes in audience trust and parasocial bonding. The psychological mechanism at play is "costly signaling"—by appearing to reject corporate sponsorships to tell the "truth," the creator establishes immense epistemic authority. However, the study also exposes the inherent paradox of the trend. The longitudinal data shows that the vast majority of de-influencing content inevitably pivots into alternative product recommendations, effectively replacing one mode of consumption with another under the guise of ethical curation. This paper argues that de-influencing is not the death of the influencer model, but rather a vital communicative adaptation necessary to salvage digital credibility in an era of acute economic anxiety and saturated, hyper-commercialized feeds.

Audio-First Social Architecture: The Intimacy of Voice Notes in Asynchronous Communication

While synchronous audio platforms (e.g., Clubhouse) experienced a rapid boom and subsequent collapse, the asynchronous use of voice notes across messaging applications (WhatsApp, iMessage) has become a dominant communicative modality, particularly among younger demographics. This study explores the sociolinguistic and psychological drivers behind the transition to audio-first asynchronous communication, analyzing how the reintroduction of paralinguistic cues alters digital intimacy and relational maintenance. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach involving communication diaries and semi-structured interviews with 250 heavy voice-note users, the research maps the behavioral advantages of vocalized text. The findings demonstrate that voice notes bridge a critical gap in digital communication: they offer the rich, emotional nuance and tonal clarity of a phone call while preserving the low-stakes, boundary-respecting convenience of a text message. Participants reported that hearing a friend's vocal cadence, hesitations, and laughter fostered a significantly deeper sense of parasocial connection and empathy compared to text-based interaction, which is often plagued by semantic ambiguity. The study identifies specific "vocal vulnerabilities" that users are willing to share via voice note but would heavily edit or omit in written text, suggesting that audio inherently lowers the barrier for emotional disclosure. Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Digital Anxiety: Treating the 'Always-On' Syndrome

The psychological toll of hyperconnectivity—characterized by phantom vibration syndrome, compulsive notification checking, and the acute anxiety of being offline (FOMO)—has reached clinical levels of severity in modern populations. Traditional cognitive-behavioral approaches often struggle to treat "technostress" because the trigger (the smartphone) is an unavoidable necessity of modern life. This pioneering clinical study investigates the efficacy of utilizing Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) to treat severe digital anxiety and boundary-setting deficits. A cohort of 90 patients diagnosed with severe internet addiction and associated anxiety disorders underwent an 8-week VRET protocol. This sociolinguistic study investigates the communicative friction generated when this specialized slang intersects with traditional corporate dialect (dominated by Gen X and Baby Boomers) across digital workplace channels like Slack and Microsoft Teams. Through the discourse analysis of 5,000 anonymized cross-hierarchical corporate chat logs and interviews with 150 employees spanning four generations, the research maps the landscape of linguistic misunderstanding. The findings reveal that Gen Z slang is frequently misinterpreted by older management not merely as unprofessional, but as actively insubordinate or hostile. Terms denoting casual agreement or ironic emphasis (e.g., "bet," "dead," "no cap") are consistently decoded by older cohorts as dismissive, literal threats, or indicative of a lack of professional seriousness, resulting in unwarranted performance penalties. Through a heuristic evaluation of the 50 highest-grossing mobile games of 2023-2024, combined with a behavioral survey of 1,200 active players, the research isolates the specific cognitive biases exploited by developers. This study analyzes the crisis communication strategies deployed by major technology conglomerates (e.g., OpenAI, Midjourney, Stability AI) when confronted with widespread public backlash and class-action litigation regarding generative theft. Utilizing Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), the research evaluates the public statements, legal filings, and community management tactics of these entities between 2023 and 2024. The findings reveal a concerted, industry-wide reliance on the "denial" and "diminishment" crisis postures. Tech corporations consistently attempted to reframe unauthorized data scraping not as theft, but as "fair use" machine learning, weaponizing complex technical jargon to obfuscate the reality of copyright infringement from the general public. However, the data indicates that these traditional PR deflections utterly failed to mitigate reputational damage among the creative class. Artists, writers, and developers viewed the corporate rhetoric of "democratizing creativity" as deeply hypocritical, viewing it instead as the largest uncompensated wealth transfer in digital history. The study highlights the emergence of a highly organized, decentralized counter-narrative driven by digital creators, who successfully utilized social media to publicly dissect and humiliate corporate PR attempts. Through in-depth interviews with 100 full-time creators across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, this research explores the behavioral consequences of laboring under an invisible, capricious digital panopticon. The findings reveal that the lack of transparent communicative feedback from platform governance structures induces severe, chronic psychological distress. Because creators are never explicitly informed why their metrics have plummeted, they engage in exhaustive, superstitious "algorithmic appeasement" behaviors—obsessively analyzing hashtags, altering their vocabulary to avoid perceived trigger words (creating "algospeak"), and self-censoring vital political or social commentary. Ephemeral Messaging and the Erasure of Corporate Memory: Implications for Knowledge Management

However, this shift profoundly disrupts the foundational mechanics of organizational knowledge management. This study investigates the long-term communicative and operational consequences of systemic digital impermanence on corporate memory and institutional learning. Utilizing a mixed-methods case study approach involving three mid-sized tech firms that transitioned to aggressive ephemeral communication policies, the research evaluates the impact over a 12-month period. The empirical data reveals a critical operational vulnerability: the systemic erasure of the informal "digital paper trail" severely degraded organizational onboarding, historical problem-solving, and cross-departmental alignment. Without searchable archives of previous decision-making processes, teams frequently engaged in "re-inventing the wheel," leading to a statistically significant decrease in project efficiency. The study highlights that much of a corporation's tacit knowledge is embedded not in formal documentation, but in the casual, daily communicative exchanges between employees. Sensory Marketing in Augmented Reality Retail: The Behavioral Economics of Virtual Try-Ons

Augmented Reality (AR) has rapidly transitioned from a novelty feature to a core component of modern e-commerce, particularly through "Virtual Try-On" (VTO) technologies in the fashion, cosmetics, and furniture sectors. This study explores the behavioral economics and psychological mechanisms of sensory marketing within AR environments, investigating how digitally simulated tactile experiences influence consumer confidence, perceived ownership, and purchase conversion rates. Through a large-scale, controlled experimental design (N=1,500), participants were tasked with navigating digital storefronts utilizing either standard 2D imagery or high-fidelity, interactive AR VTO capabilities. The empirical results demonstrate that AR significantly bridges the "sensory gap" inherent in traditional e-commerce.
